Welcome to Life in Type Onederland - a blog ran by myself, a proud T1D (type 1 diabetes) mom!

My daughter, Cadence, was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 7. T1D is a very uneducated disease, and to be honest, I was totally unaware of T1D until I had no other choice than to learn all about it. 

I wanted to spread awareness all about type one diabetes, as well as share all the fun we have in our daily lives so I decided to start Life in Type Onederland, because although we have no option than to deal with this chronic illness, it doesn't mean that life has to be sad or boring. 

We make the most out of every single day, and will not stop managing this horrible disease until there is a cure found. I am so blessed and fortunate that T1D is a manageable disease, though hard at times, it's our type onederful life!
